The Jr.SB Comics

This area is best viewed with a 17" monitor set for high resolution. But, if you don't mind scrolling, any monitor will do.

Welcome to some comic relief.
This area will house all of the JrSB comics created by our webmaster - Joe Auricchio - from 1981 till 1983.
Everyone is invited to offer their comic work also, so send it along. If you also want an art gallery like Joe has - Click here to view his - no problem, just offer some nice work and request a gallery and it will be done (for members and serious artists only.)
Kathy and Kate began scaning the original cartoon boards on March 27, 1998, be patient, no one is in a hurry to get this done, so drop in every time you visit GemRock.

Jr.Sb stands for Junior Sandblast. Joe's very first company was JrSB way back in the 1960's. It evolved into ADSTONE Sandblasting then ADSTONE Designs and finally the ADSTONE World Wide Network. The JrSB comics record Joe's beginnings when he and David Bliss (BLAST) started out together as kids cutting cemetery inscriptions. JrSB is featured in the comic strip as always wearing his sandblast hood. Dave today still works closely with Joe, but owns his own sandblast/power washing business called CHOICE. Click here to see his web page.
The JrSB comic strip was twice considered for major publication by United Press International (Fischer Publishing) and Toni Mendez Literary Agency, but both offers were declined - I suppose Joe was saving himself for the Internet - (Yeah, right!)
