What's New for 2006
Links on this page may have been broken many years ago ... maybe not, try them if you like.

Apparently - and perhaps to the benefit of all -
a couple of scroll saw crafters have discovered our artwork. Many of
our drawings do not need revision for a scroll saw, many others do. I
have begun to accommodate these craftsmen - note: wc2 below. And I
will continue altering several thousand files over the months and
years. Hey, the more using this service the cheaper it becomes. I'll
   do it.

   Happy Turkey to y'all.
Now for the bad news. Unfortunately
we have lost too many members. That's problem number one. Number two
is that we ran out of disk space at the server. Happy for us, we
don't have to purchase new drives, computers and spend days setting
up new sites - glad those days are gone. However, instead of that
kind of BIG expense, there's the comparatively smaller expense of
buying more space at the server. Put the permanent loss of 4 members
($38 x 4=$152) and the purchase of more disk space ($3.95) together =
$155.95 and we got ourselves a $7 per remaining members shortfall (22
   members left times $7 = $154.
Now, these numbers are even worse
than they appear. Those of you who get the spreadsheets know what I
mean. The actual loss is more like 12 members, however, I expect most
of them to return. The costs for more space hits us quarterly. That
price might - can be, expect it to be - higher as the quarters pass.
They did drop last year twice.
Bottom line is we got a $7
increase. We need more / more members.

Seems like I'm working 24/7 and
getting nothing done. So, all I have to say is I got nothing done.
Except to remove our MESSAGE BOARD due to lack of activity. It also
cuts back $4 per month in expenses for us.

I don't want to get into a long story here or discuss
things not directly related to the Board, so I'll be brief. Because
THE CEMETERY BOOK was not a sales tool but a customer-valued-added
tool, it did not sell. Did well at a few florists and cemeteries but
that's it.  Man, now I know why I never took up writing as a
career! Anyway, I posted the books for downloading and reading online
   for you and the public.
I'm enjoying the drawing of the Stations of the Cross.
I can't imagine why anyone waited, what? 24 years to suggest it to
the Board - I didn't even think of it!

I took some time off and everything changed!  But
before gossip - John eMail me about 6 months ago looking for the Stations
of the Cross (a Catholic series of icons) and I realized
we were lame not to have them. So, I started drawing them. Got 3
posted here. The rest will come slowly BECAUSE I am selling my house
and moving to McCormick, South Carolina ... shocker! huh? Long
stor(ies) and you can review the new house at this

Out did myself on a few of this week's work - boatboy,
puppy2 and clipper8. Once in awhile I like to show off - just like we
   all do.
I checked over our membership rouster and looks
like everyone here has been around long enough to remember
ShelbyM.  Well, he contacted me in need of a favor - and email
address - and as a camero he dropped off a lovely drawing.  It's
   posted below.

   Thought I took a vacation, didn't
yer? ...wish I had. But don't fret, I didn't get paid because, well,
I didn't work and we lost more members again. Got one new member -
haven't had that in years! Anyway, we're still making the bills but I
might have to eat crow about dropping fees next year.
To catch everyone up; Fed Ex
finally came through (two months after) but my Dad settled for a lot
less than it costs to repair everything (Dad owns the building the flower
shop is in) so there's still a big hole there and forget about
replacing the storage sheds and security system. Hey, way it goes.
Besides the florist biz has tanked over last few years; I'm easily
distracted from it. That's why I have a regular bus driving job down
here in FLA. I REMEMBER YOU
(the edited, revised edition) is back on my desk.  This editor
is a slave driver! Oh well, that's show biz, folks.

I'm been up to my eye sockets with this Fed Ex hogwash.  Took
the back of my flower shop right off which ripped out all electrical
and phone and security service too. Yikes! What a mess. They said
don't worry, be happy, they'll cover everything but it's now 2 days
from Palm Sunday and I have a hole in the back of my shop still. The
electric that I do I have is by my generator and no funds from Fed Ex yet.
   Bummer to the max.
So, as you can see I haven't produced many drawings. Got all this on
my head, Easter and Barbara - my editor- wants the revision for I
REMEMBER YOU today and Book 2 by July 1. Hey, all the excitement
   cured my pneumonia.  I hope
once these issues are resolved I don't fall flat from exhaustion.

       When it rains it ...................
I know some of you are waiting for
Wish List stuff.  I know I haven't added or converted any files
to the Board because I've been struggling with this pneumonia last
few weeks.  Well, there's more.  A Federal Express truck
drove into my flower shop in New York last night at 3 AM.  I
have to drop everything and fly to New York.  How long I'll be
there? I'll let you know as soon as I know.

   While the movie is loading....to
review this major movie production: I will be making changes to the
Wish List. I encourage members to participate.  In short, I will
be posting on the Wish List page email addresses to members who are
willing to draw for hire. Sought of, kind of like we do on the
Message Board, but just more "attached" to the Wish List.
Thing is that I don't like drawing for money.  When the money
does come in it becomes a ticklish problem as how to give it to the
Board or take it for myself, so I'll skip it entirely once this new
system is rolling. Send me a Wish and I will eventually get to it but
it will very likely NOT be a duplicate. I believe Bill works the same
way. The others I post email links to will do drawings for hire and,
if they keep prices low, they'll keep getting work.
So let's try this new slant on the Wish List and see if this serves us any better.

Fees are now $38. Betcha a dollar they'll be under $35 by May
of '07. And that's with members leaving us. Don't yer just love cheap technology!
Raising the WISH LIST to a chargeable item worked great!
OK,  if I get a real breather in here I'll remove the fee again.
Just that my day job has been trying lately - well it is winter and
we're busy at Disney this time of year. Not to mention that back
problem that developed...gosh! How do you chronic suffers put up with this??

   January 5,
    2006,
So sorry for the lengthy time away.  Working
Christmas literally broke my back. After a day at the Doctor, they
discovered that I had a broken lower spine for over 20 years  -
I guess I was dancing so much I never noticed ... not so funny, I
know. The injury surfaced due to old age and running around the
cemetery delivering spruce blankets and wreaths.  Nerves are now
permanently pinched, some severed and that's only the less
interesting part of this posting....here's the interesting
portion:  I got hit with the BloodHound virus. Not terrible in
and of itself itself, however, it opened the door to a string of
virus and diseases which just sucked the brains out of it. I leave my
home machines on while I'm in NY so I can remotely access the files -
to fix problems you have.  Well, five of you know that I
couldn't help out this time around. When arriving home, I found out
why - all my systems were destroyed.
Instead of having the Board buy another 2 systems,
I pulled out all those crashed and destroyed systems going back to
1995. As you can see, I jury rigged a system and should have a CADD
system up within a week.  Doing all this (STILL doing all this)
with an aching back and drowning myself in Advils. When it rains it
   soaks the hell outta me!

   Sincerely Yours,
   Joe Auricchio
