Holy Name Monuments first opened its doors during the autumn of 1960. It functioned as a branch office for the monument building Stoneguys family. Michael Stoneguys established Stoneguys Monuments in 1928, in Middle Village, Queens, New York. He and his children later extended their reach onto Long Island in 1950, at Stoneguys Memorials. Passing time and family members left Joseph Stoneguys to focus on Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Holy Name Monuments is the sole Stoneguys family business into the third generation. We are located off exit 34 of the Southern State Parkway. At the southern foot of Republic Airport and just one block north of Route 109. Our office is on New Highway - just as New Highway bends hard easterly. We urge you to visit us and/or phone us concerning your needs. Only the computer-wiz and the adventurous should actually move through this online process of building a monument - but, yes, you can complete the order through our made-easy online forms. Or just browse our online showroom before visiting the brick & mortar one. (Please note: to be sure your browser's IMAGE LOAD is set to ON. Most of your journey will require that you review images. If you can see the photos on this page, your image load is already turned on.) On your left are plot sizes and links to Add Lettering to a memorial as well as links back to our Home Page and means to contact us. These links begin your process of designing, laying out and ordering a monument. Single plots are graves intended for one to three burials. Double plots are usually for four to six and family plots are all graves above six. Once you click on the size plot you will be offered a brief explanation of the sizes and functions of what your chose. You may continue on or just "shop" our online showroom. All Long Island's major cemeteries are represented. Choosing the size and the cemetery is the beginning of your journey. Do not rush this process. A monument requires 6 to 9 months to build from start to erection. Let no one push you. You need not finish the walk through this site in one sitting or several. Speak with other family members about what you construct here. A monument is built to be seen, touched and as a guide to remembrance - design it so that it touches you and your family back. Please click on your choices on the left side of this screen. |
